Seminar on Local Youth Councils, as part of the project “(Local) Youth Participation Matters” held in Berovo, from November 28th until December 1st 2023, where 35 representatives from local municipalities, local NGOs, organized non formal youth groups, schools and other relevant actors, gathered together to analyze, to discuss and to exchange and expand their knowledge on the subject of youth participation and local youth councils on local level.
The main aim of the training was to create a space for debate and for creation and development of local youth councils in 8 municipalities, according to the Law on Youth Participation and Youth Policies. The initiative for local youth councils creation was introduced to the different that were present at the seminar.
As part of the seminar, Gjorgi Tasev, the Associate for Youth and Youth Policy to the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia led a debate on this topic along with Jasmina Todorovska Miteva, representative from OSCE that works in the sector Youth.
During the 4 days seminar, the participants jointly learned more about the Local Youth Councils and detected to which level of implementation is the creation of the Local Youth Councils in their municipality.
