Out of the Box International, together with partners from Germany, Cyprus, Italy, Portugal, Greece and United Kingdom is launching an invitation to participate in pilot testing for the project “YECh – Youth voluntEering Certification”.
The project aims to foster the inclusion, active youth participation and enhance employability of young people by establishing a certificate of volunteer work in order to validate the knowledge, skills and competencies of young volunteers and youth workers. The main objective of the project is to support employability, as well as learning, and facilitate transition between different levels and fields of education, while promoting transparency and recognition of qualifications within the European Union member states.
In order to reach results, an e-learning platform was created to host all the training materials and the tools developed as part of the training program of this project. The visitors of the platform will have the chance to receive certification after short training periods. In order to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the platform, pilot testing is scheduled to take place in August, 2020. Pilot sessions will take place online. The participants of this pilot implementation will be young people and volunteers at NGOs.
The successful participants will get the title of Certified Volunteer Worker. This recognition will foster the development of social and youth workers, social entrepreneurs and generally people working in NGOs and social organizations.
