Out of the Box International, in collaboration with CSI Center for Social Innovation Ltd, Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, IMRO-DDKK KORNYEZETVEDELMI NONPROFIT KFT, AKMI ANONIMI EKPAIDEFTIKI ETAIRIA, EDUFONS – Centar za celozivotno obrazovanje, Mednarodni institut za implementacijo trajnostnega , razvoja, Maribor and JUMP – Gioventù in riSalto has launched the CI-YOU: Circular Economy Youth Leaders, a project co-funded by the EU’s Erasmus+ programme.
The Main Aim of the CI-You project is to help further improve the level of green business culture in Europe by providing the youth with knowledge and concepts in the field of the circular economy.
During the meeting partners presented and discussed the four outputs:
- A state-of-the-art analysis for the conceptualization of the ‘Circular Economy Business Model’;
- Development of the ‘Circular Economy Business Model’ for young entrepreneurs and Training Curriculum Development;
- Trainers’ Manual for efficient, interactive and innovative approach to circular economy education principles and
- An e-Learning (OER) Platform Development.
Mandy Trappeniers from the National Agency JINT (BEL) has joined the meeting and partners had the opportunity to learn about the new EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027, Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, and the Youth Goals.
The General Director of Out of the Box International, Marko Paunovic, emphasized the necessity of cross-sectoral cooperation in promoting and enhancing educational practices and policy initiatives that promote circular economy. It was particularly stressed that this concept is especially important when working with young people because different organizations can approach it trough different channels and practices and, in that way, ensure a large activation of young people.
