The week between March and April was a new beginning for YEU, as we finally got back to face-to-face activities. From the 27th of March to the 3rd of April, two events took place simultaneously in Thessaloniki – Greece: the youth exchange of Brave New YOU – Reloaded, that gathered 50 youngsters from 10 different countries; and the first training course of PlanB – Strengthening resilience of youth organisations.
Brave New YOU youth exchange gathered young people from Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Slovakia, Estonia, Sweden and Greece. Participants had the opportunity to share their experiences, talking about the hateful narratives and discriminatory dynamics existing in their local communities: they exchanged practices and experiences on how they managed to tackle and challenge these narratives, contributing to build more inclusive and welcoming societies.
In the final part of the event, the group of participants came up with policy recommendations which will be part and parcel of the dissemination event of the project. The dissemination event will take place in Brussels from the 7th to the 12th of May: follow our social media channels to discover what will happen in the beating heart of the EU!
