Coffee With is back for 2022! The first edition of Coffee With happened on March 10th, 2022. The event was moderated by Ismael Paez Cívico and our guest was Biliana Sirakova, the EU Youth Coordinator.
Working closely with different youth stakeholders, listening to their needs and concerns, Biliana Sirakova makes the bridge between European Youth and Youth organisations and the European Commission.
This conversation with Biliana focused on the topic of the European Year of Youth, and initiative through which the European Commission aims at supporting and empowering the generation that has sacrificed the most during the pandemic, by encouraging young people to become more active citizens and a motor of change, as well as by promoting initiatives and opportunities for their engagement and development, including the creation of jobs, learning and trading opportunities.
During the event we got to know Biliana and the scope of her work better. We talked about strengthening the dialogue between youth, youth organisations and stakeholders um EU institutions, the mainstreaming of the youth agenda across all European Commission services and policy areas, how youth organisations and young individuals can be involved and have a say in the European Year of Youth Initiative, among others.
Coffee with 2022 really started out with a bang! It was a pleasure and an honor to have Biliana as our guest and to have the opportunity to show and welcome her into the YEU family.
